Sila Lua

Sila Lua, the Spanish artist and producer who has been captivating the world with her unique fusion of urban and electronic music since 2017, has released her hypnotic new album “Danzas de Amor y Veneno.” The album is now available to stream on digital platforms.

Produced by Paul Aymí, Sherry Fino, Marcio Arantes, and DJ Gabriel do Borel, “Danzas de Amor y Veneno” was completed over the course of 18 months and is the highly anticipated follow up to Sila’s 2022 debut album “ROMPE.” The project sees the rising sensation achieve a new level of intimacy with her fans, revealing more vulnerability and honesty through her music than ever before.

Sonically, the 10-song album, whose title translates to “Dances of Love and Poison,” is sure to leave listeners in a trance. Over a rhythmic electronic base, Sila blends elements of Latin and African music with pop sensibilities, and filters everything through an alternative aesthetic, constructing a glowing sound that juxtaposes the pain she weaves throughout the tracklist. Featuring the previous singles “Hacer Teatro,” “Plan B,” “Equilibrio,” “Brasil,” and “Yerbabuena,” “Danzas de Amor y Veneno” will remind fans that even in the darkness, light can always be found.

About the album Sila shares, “Although I feel that my lyrics have always been very intimate, in this new album I wanted to show a little more of my insecurities, inconsistencies and dark dreams and move away a little from the more aspirational rhetoric that I think I used in my first album. In contrast and surprisingly, I think that it has turned out to be a brighter and perhaps less ‘serious’ work than the previous one and that I have managed to talk about things that are sad for me with a little more lightness, since I took the plunge into the void of trying to turn my passion into my profession.”

Sila’s music has been heard in shows such as Netflix’s “Elite” and Atresplayer’s “La Edad de la Ira,” and as she promotes “Danzas de Amor y Veneno” this year, she will continue to expand her reach around the globe.
