In conjunction with the 30th-anniversary reissue of The Black Album, Metallica have released The Metallica Blacklist available today in vinyl and CD formats. Benefiting various charities including Metallica’s “All Within My Hands Foundation”. It’s a 53-track, four-hour compilation of different artists covering Black Album songs.
Camilo Lara the brainchild behind, Mexican Institute of Sound joins Metallica’s Blacklist with an updated version of the iconic song, ‘Sad But True’ with special featured guests, Gera MX, one of the most important rappers on the Mexican scene and La Perla Bogotá who brings its diverse mixture of cumbia, merengue, champeta and beatbox rhythms.
The classic song, “Sad But True” comes to light in 2021 in its own right thanks to each artists talent and revitalizes the energy and immediately sounds like a hit from our times without losing the essence that made it great by Metallica.
