Carla Morrison, since today she received nominations for the GRAMMYs and Premio Lo Nuestro Awards 2017.

Los Angeles, CA. (Tuesday, December 6, 2016) – If there is one person who’s having a great day is Carla Morrison, since today she received nominations for the GRAMMYs and Premio Lo Nuestro Awards 2017.

The Tecate, Mexico, native is up in the ‘Best Latin Pop Album’ category thanks to her latest album “Amor Supremo”, which was released under Cosmic Records.

“This record is different from the previous one because it is a bit more inclined towards the synthesizers, something more digital. It is an album that, although it still speaks about lovesickness, also talks about the empathy and the acceptance that sometimes things just can’t happen,” singer-songwriter said during an interview with El Pais newspaper. She has added that there’s no doubt that “Amor Supremo” reinvented her career.

The 59th Grammy Awards will be held February 12, 2017, at Staples Center, in Los Angeles, California.

“Amor Supremo” is also nominated for the Premio Lo Nuestro Award as Album of the Year.

The 29th Premio Lo Nuestro ceremony will be held February 23, 2017, at the American Airline Arena in Miami, Florida. As in previous years, the fans will be in charge of deciding who will be the winners of this award. Voting opened today and will close on December 18.
