MITRE DELIGHTS FANS WITH SPONTANEOUS PERFORMANCES IN MEXICO AND PROMOTES LATEST SINGLE ‘DANZANDO HACIA LUZ’
Last Week the Alternative Duo Traveled to Mexico City and Guanajuato to Connect With Audiences and Share New Tracks From Their Upcoming Debut Album ‘El Callejón del Beso’
Los Angeles, CA . (November 12, 2018). MITRE, the captivating alternative duo comprised of singular artists Luis Mitre and Andie Sandoval, traveled to Mexico this past week to promote their latest single ‘Danzando Hacia La Luz’. During two busy press days aimed at both international and local coverage, the response from print media, TV, and digital outlets was overwhelmingly positive.
While in Mexico City, MITRE performed to a full house at El Plaza Condesa, an important venue in the alternative music scene, as special guests for Venezuelan band, Okills. Their presentation included their three singles released to date, as well as two new tracks to be included in the duo’s upcoming debut album. One of the night’s most powerful moments came when MITRE played an acoustic piano version of their second single, ‘El Callejón del Beso.’ The audience gave the artists a warm reception and was visibly eager to hear more from them.
Following the success at El Plaza Condesa, MITRE traveled to the state of Guanajuato for two days filled with magic and unforgettable moments. The musicians toured the city of Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende serenading locals and tourists alike. They delighted people walking the streets and alleys of Guanajuato, and eventually made it to El Callejón del Beso (The Alley of the Kiss), which inspired the duo’s album and song by the same name. Throughout the day they performed their single ‘El Callejón del Beso’ in the very alley where the folktale originated.
MITRE also visited other important historical sites in downtown Guanajuato to share their music with audiences such as Monumento al Pipila, Teatro Juárez, and Escalinatas de la Universidad de Guanajuato. There wasn’t enough time to visit every place they had in mind, but a lot of ground was covered and plenty of people were able to hear their songs.
On the second day, the artists visited the town of San Miguel de Allende, which has been named “The Best City in the World” by Travel + Leisure magazine two years in a row. MITRE showcased their incredible voices for local residents and international visitors to enjoy. Tourists from the United States, Canada, Spain, and Colombia were among the many that had a chance to hear MITRE sing live. Inspired by the city’s magic, the singers performed at different points around the city including La Plaza Cívica, the town’s main square located across from the cathedral.
On Saturday afternoon, MITRE had a meet & greet session with their fans where they share some of their new songs exclusively for those in attendance. MITRE’s talent and acoustic sounds enchanted fans during the presentation.
The album ‘El Callejón del Beso,’ produced by Juan de Dios Martin and co-produced by Luis Mitre, will be released in February 2019 under the Rebeleon Entertainment label.
